FREE – First Time Central Heating
Installing central heating for the first time is extremely costly and many people are reluctant to undertake this installation, however by taking advantage of a potentially FREE heating grant this cost won’t be an issue. The homeowner or someone living in the property in question must be in receipt of one of the below benefits or the property must fall into the LA Flex criteria..
When we have received confirmation that you are grant-eligible, we will arrange for one of our Gas Safe registered installers to carry out a free no obligation survey on your property, it would be at this point we will let you know the amount of funding (full / partial) we could allocate to your central heating system.
NewGen’s installer network are Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal & Glow-worm approved installers. Installation of all boilers (free or otherwise) are carried out by fully qualified, insured and approved Gas Safe installers. In addition, all systems installed have a minimum warranty of 2 years.
When your new central heating system has been installed you will immediately notice the benefits of a warmer home and lower energy bills thanks to your new A-rated, efficient central heating system.

In 1970, there were only 30% of households that had any central heating system. Today, that number is over 95%. This means that there are many thousands of households still without wall mounted radiators. Fully installed central heating can help improve health and reduce monthly costs on bills.

Who else is eligible and are there any limits to funding?
If you privately rent or own your property within England, Scotland or Wales and you or anyone in your household are receiving any of the benefits listed, then you may be entitled to government backed funded home efficiency measures.
If no-one in the household is receiving any benefits you could still qualify through LA Flex (the local authorities way to access funding) so please visit the “grants” page and get in touch.
The value of how much funding available to you depends upon the following variables:
- Type of property (terrace, detached. semi, bungalow etc)
- Number of bedrooms
- Heating system (gas, electric, LPG etc)
- Wall type (solid, cavity wall, timber framed)
An expert assessor will carry out a free no obligation survey to determine if the property is viable, we can then advise of the level funding available to you.
LA Flexibility
If no-one in the household receives any of the above you could still qualify through LA Flexibility, if your property is E, F or G rated on the EPC register or if you do not have an EPC. (LA Flex is the Local Authority’s way to access ECO funding)
