FREE – Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)
More than 50% of all heat loss from properties with solid walls happens by heat escaping through through lack of adequate insulation. Heat naturally always moves from warm areas to cold areas, and in winter when its far colder outside, heat will move at a rapid rate from your home and escape from uninsulated walls.
To qualify for FREE IWI – the property MUST be off the main gas grid and heated by either… Bottled LPG, electric, solid fuel or have NO central heating.
Internal wall insulation is a fantastic alternative to external wall insulation as it is more cost effective and works more efficiently. Not only that, it can also visually improve the interior finish in your property.
How are my internal walls insulated?
IWI is installed by mechanically fixing and gluing insulated backed plaster board also know as PIR or Phirlonic Boards to your homes internal heat loss walls, the job is finished off with the new boards being re-skimmed along with new skirting boards and window sills fitted, all work is covered by the grant and is completed to the very highest standards and carries a 25 year guarantee, please get in touch for more information.

Who else is eligible and are there any limits to funding?
If you privately rent or own your property within England, Scotland or Wales and you or anyone in your household are receiving any of the benefits listed, then you may be entitled to government backed funded home efficiency measures.
If no-one in the household is receiving any benefits you could still qualify through LA Flex (the local authorities way to access funding) so please visit the “grants” page and get in touch.
The value of how much funding available to you depends upon the following variables:
- Type of property (terrace, detached. semi, bungalow etc)
- Number of bedrooms
- Heating system (gas, electric, LPG etc)
- Wall type (solid, cavity wall, timber framed)

LA Flex
If no-one in the household receives any of the above you could still qualify through LA Flexibility, if your property is E, F or G rated on the EPC register or if you do not have an EPC. (LA Flex is the Local Authority’s way to access ECO funding)
